Question 1 — Easy
A juice company fills bottles with 375 mL of juice each. A crate holds 24 bottles. How many litres of juice are in one full crate?
Answer: 24 × 375 mL = 9 000 mL. Converting: 9 000 ÷ 1 000 = 9 litres.
Question 2 — Medium
A cooking class starts at 9:45 am. It runs for 2 hours and 35 minutes. What time does the class finish?
Answer: 9:45 am + 2 hours = 11:45 am, then + 35 minutes = 12:20 pm. Option D is not a valid time, and B results from adding only 25 minutes instead of 35.
Question 3 — Hard
Mei wants to fill a fish tank that holds 20 litres. She has a jug that holds 4 litres. How many times will she need to fill the jug to fill the tank completely?
Answer: 20 ÷ 4 = 5. Mei needs to fill the jug 5 times. Option A subtracts 4 from 20 instead of dividing, B adds 20+4, and C gives the capacity of the jug.
